State woos super yachts

The Superyacht Charter Decree was approved by Cabinet yesterday. In making the announcement at a press conference yesterday, the Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said: “This is quite an important decision made by Cabinet. Those of you who know about the tourism sector, the super yacht industry is the top end of the tourism sector. “It is hardly ever, if ever affected by recessions.

Super Yacht facility open in time for cruising season

Located in the tropical South Pacific surrounded by pristine oceans and white sandy beaches, Port Denarau Marina, on Fiji’s West Coast is positioned as the center of yachting activity in Fiji. In February, the Marina completed a (NZ) $2 million floating jetty, which added 46 berths to the small island.

Port Denarau Marina Installs New Bellinghams Marina

Port Denarau Marina has begun installation of a 48 berth Bellinghams Marina to cater for vessels up to 75m in length. This will be ready for the beginning of 2010. Services include 3 phase 120amp, single phase, water and WiFi.
