PDM Market Announcement – COVID-19 Response
Covid-19 and the travel restrictions put in place by all governments has had a significant negative impact on the Tourism Sector in Fiji.
It is difficult to predict the duration and extent of any further spread of the Covid-19 outbreak and how this will impact all aspects of Tourism and our customers businesses.
For 20 years, the wellbeing of our customers, tenants and guests has been, and continues to remain, our highest priority. We’ve weathered challenging times before but in the wake of the unprecedented impact of Covid-19, we’ve had to make some tough decisions. In light of flights ceasing, countries closing their borders, subsequently businesses closing and major commercial operators reducing or completely halting their operations due to significant reduction of tourist numbers, we have had to reduce our operations as well.

The Chairman and Directors of Port Denarau Marina Limited are pleased to announce the company’s half year unaudited results to 31 st January 2020.
Press Release – Port Denarau Marina is Leadership Fiji’s First Tourism Industry Partner
Leadership Fiji has today signed up Port Denarau Marina, Fiji’s premier marina facility as its first partner from the tourism industry in the Silver category.
This new partnership has come at an opportune time, as Leadership Fiji winds up its 2020 activities, and prepares to take its programs to another level.
Port Denarau Marina’s Chief Executive Officer, Cynthia Rasch said “We are delighted to be associated with Leadership Fiji’s program since the past few years. This sponsorship is a commitment of our ongoing support to the valuable education that their program provides. We believe in Leadership Fiji’s mission to building a better nation through the development of progressive leadership and strategic foresight capacity and look forward to growing our partnership further.”
Port Denarau Marina has been supporting Leadership Fiji on their site visits during their participants tourism industry session over the last three years.
Leadership Fiji’s Chief Executive Officer, Sharyne Fong said, “We are grateful to Port Denarau Marina for their belief and confidence in Leadership Fiji and for supporting our mission towards the development of Fiji’s leaders. The partnership was sealed today with the handover of their $5,000 sponsorship cheque.
