A NEW Yamaha Denarau Service Centre has been opened by Asco Motors at Port Denarau, providing easier access to boat engine services for shipping and boat owners at the marina.
Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings Pty Ltd managing director Yoshiaki Kato said the new centre would ensure all their customers would be able to access their services at the marina.
“When it comes to our resort customers and engine businesses or boat owners, most of them are located in Denarau.
“We needed a base for our service providers to be able to serve our customers because for most of the time we had been visiting our customers individually or customers would come to us in Nadi,” Mr Kato said.
He said light repairs and immediate services would be offered at the new centre.
“If we see that the engine needs further repairs then we will take it to our Nadi base.”
Asco Motors national fixed operations manager Sanjeet Kumar said most of the company’s loyal customers in the tourism industry were at the marina.
“Our Yamaha customers are mostly based at the marina and because it was difficult for us to come to them or they visit us we thought it would be better that we opened a new base at Port Denarau,” he said.
“The Yamaha long-term plan is for us to come to customers so they will now find it easier to find us.”
