We are a small club of 70 members based on Denarau Island, Fiji just south of Nadi.
Our club is a family orientated club with categories for children, women and men.
The Club holds 10 competitions annually.
Of the 10 competitions we hold annually we have 3 major competitions:
“Tuna Classic” – this is held early in the year (Feb/March) and runs over 2 days, when the big yellow fin tuna are on the bite. Fish have been caught up to 60kg of recent times.
“Fiji Classic” – held mid-year (June/July/August) this is a 3 day competition that attracts a number of international anglers. Traditionally we see a number of sailfish tagged and the Wahoo and Walu (spanish mackerel) are on the bite.
“Bill Williams Memorial” – Held in October this 2 day competition is targeting the bill fish in previous years we have seen a number of Marlin and Sailfish tagged along with a good numbers of Mahimahi and Walu weighed.
All anglers are welcome to come and fish in any of our competitions.
As we are members of the IGFA (International Game Fishing Association) we give reciprocal rights to all anglers from other IGFA associated clubs. This means you do not have to join our club to fish the competitions, you will simply need to show a valid membership card from the associated IGFA fishing club you are registered with, pay the competition entry fee and go fishing.
