Bula All,
We are all going through very trying times. As PDML’s CEO, I’m acutely aware of the important role we play in the lives of our entire marina community.
For 20 years, the wellbeing of our customers, tenants and guests has been, and continues to remain, our highest priority. We’ve weathered challenging times before but in the wake of the unprecedented impact of the Coronavirus, we’ve had to make some tough decisions. In light of flights ceasing, many countries closing their borders, subsequently businesses closing and major commercial operators reducing or completely halting their operations due to significant reduction of tourist numbers, we have had to reduce our operations as well.
Boatyard Operations
We will continue to operate our boatyard, however this will be with limitations and request that you book ahead all your haulout/relaunch and/or storage requirements. We will monitor movements for the next week and make a decision on keeping this operation open until end of April for cyclone season. We will continue to provide you the services you need.
Options for our customers
Our Reservations office will have change in operating hours and will be open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, we request that customers who are paying their bills to do so in our bank account directly, allowing our staff to avoid spending time in the banks. Our bank details are provided in the footer of your invoices or contact us on [email protected] for this information. If you haven’t taken advantage of our discount on commercial berthing and land rentals, we request that you get in touch with our team at the earliest to do so as time is running out by the 1st of April.
Our People
This week we have had to make a very difficult decision for our people, one of the toughest decisions we have had to make as a business – and we have done this to ensure that our people can be part of our future and we can bring them back when things return to normal. Rather than triggering job losses, we are instead standing down some of our workforce from Wednesday. We are working with our people to support them during this period, including allowing them to take a range of leave options.
Minimum Staffing
We have initiated work from home arrangements for our staff on call where it is practical to do so. Our systems and IT platforms support this initiative and we expect you to experience a seamless interface with your regular points of contact, so please continue to use existing channels for these communications.
For essential staff members located in our premises, we are isolating functional departments where possible, practicing social distancing, and have expanded general hygiene provisions amongst other protective measures.
Safety
During hardships, we note that criminal activities increases, as such, please rest assured that we have heightened security measures around the marina and will have security present 24/7 on premises. We are not compromising this and will continue to provide you ample security coverage throughout our premises.
Should you have any questions with regards to our operations, please do not hesitate to call our team:

We will be reviewing our operations and sharing updating you as we progress. Note that any of the above operations may change at short notice if we are to experience a lockdown. Thank you for your continued support through this period, and we sincerely hope that our industry and extended community can recover from this unprecedented event more united and successful than ever.
Wishing you health,
Cynthia
