INTEREST in the installation of solar photovoltaic systems have grown since the scheme was introduced at Port Denarau Marina last year.
Sunergise International, the company responsible for the environmentally-friendly system has revealed a number of resorts in the Mamanucas and supermarkets have approached them for their services.
Sunergise International made headlines in December last year when Fiji’s Attorney-General opened the company’s first landmark installation — a 122kw roof mounted system at Port Denarau Marina, which is the largest of its kind for a marina anywhere in the world.
“A second system followed shortly after, at Denarau Golf and Racquet Club,” the company said.
“Since then Sunergise has seen a surge of interest in its offering from commercial customers who see value in the company’s offer of risk-free guaranteed power savings with zero upfront capital costs.”

Sunergise Fiji director Ajay Raniga confirmed that by the end of this month, the company would have completed a further six installations in the country.
These include the first residential system, the first off-grid system on Tokiriki Island, RB Patel Jetpoint in Namaka, and Roosters Future Farms factory in Ba.
Port Denarau would also be increasing its share of green power by an additional 50kw of solar.
“Our pipeline is growing all the time,” said Mr Raniga of their business.
The company also announced a new partnership with Suva-based Clay Energy.
Mr Raniga said as the company expanded its portfolio, it was vital to have the highest quality of technical support in-house.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Clay Energy, which fulfils this need and presents a great opportunity to grow our businesses together.”
Clay Energy recently commissioned the largest resort solar power system in the South Pacific at Turtle Island Resort in the Yasawa Group.
